In an attempt to bolster their center-back position, Bayern Munich is concentrating their efforts on Barcelona and is considering both Ronald Araújo and Clément Lenglet, according to Sky Sports Deutschland.
Though there is little prospect of signing the Uruguayan because he is anticipated to agree to a contract extension with the Blaugrana, club executives and manager Thomas Tuchel are all keen on the 24-year-old Araujo and have held preliminary negotiations.
Lenglet is presently on loan at Aston Villa, however he has only played in the Europa Conference League this season. The 28-year-old hasn’t been in a single Premier League game this season.
The Frenchman isn’t a priority because of his lack of playing time, but he is on Bayern’s longer list of players to consider.
Due to the demands of the London club, Bayern is also abandoning plans to sign 28-year-old João Palhinha, a midfielder for Fulham; Arsenal and Liverpool are still interested in the Portugal international.
Last but not least, Mathys Tel has drawn a lot of interest, particularly from Manchester United, but the 18-year-old has made the decision that he does not want to leave Bayern, either permanently or on loan.
