Verstappen is a target for Ferrari.

Ferrari affirms that Verstappen is a target.
When asked if he would like Verstappen in his team, Vasseur told the Italian section of Motorsport.com, “I think if you asked the same question to all 10 team bosses on the grid, they would all answer that they would love to have him in the team.”

Red Bull Racing is Max Verstappen’s employer until 2028. The three-time world champion is therefore not available for a seat at this time, although other Formula 1 teams will still be interested in signing him.

For the time being, though, it does not appear that the Dutchman will be moving to Ferrari. “Max is under contract with Red Bull through 2028.

It is imperative that we prioritize our individual needs and work while keeping the team’s membership in mind. We need to consider the big picture and not just the drivers. Thus, it’s not something we need to talk about right now.

Additionally, Ferrari spoke with Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton, a 38-year-old British driver, was also rumored to have had discussions with Mercedes before signing a new deal.

Though, as Vasseur notes, he has been in regular contact with Hamilton for a considerable amount of time, as have many other drivers on the F1 grid, these were not serious conversations.

“In Baku, we talked a bit, and from then on, everyone started talking about it, but if I signed contracts with everyone who has raced for me in the past, it would cost me a fortune,” says Vasseur.
