Lewis Hamilton has indicated that the highly anticipated Formula 1-based film featuring Brad Pitt is expected to be released in 2025, following setbacks caused by strikes.
The film, which is yet to be titled, experienced delays due to strikes by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. These strikes were prompted by concerns regarding the use of AI in film production and residual payments.
Various Grand Prix weekends, including Silverstone, were chosen as filming locations for the movie. Initial plans to shoot in Las Vegas had to be abandoned due to the impact of the strikes.
However, Hamilton has now disclosed that the release of the film is likely to be pushed back due to the delays encountered during the filming process.
“I would imagine, probably early 2025, with the post-work they’d have to do. So yeah, it’s been delayed a lot,” Hamilton commented on the expected release date.
