Hamilton claims a lot of “power” after testing the new Mercedes.
Despite having experienced difficulties in the last two Mercedes F1 vehicles he has driven, Lewis Hamilton seems to have bounced back from his most recent racetrack excursion.
Red Bull and competitor Max Verstappen have seized a stranglehold on the sport with back-to-back double world titles,
while Hamilton has yet to reclaim the top step of the podium after losing out on the F1 title in an agonizing and contentious manner at the end of the 2021 season.
However, as he headed to the racetrack in the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+, the seven-time world champion was ecstatic to be driving the newest Mercedes available to him.
The 38-year-old was left complimenting the new vehicle on its handling of curbs, balance, and steering while being impressed by its powerful “power delivery” that reached over 220 mph.
As he attempts to secure a record-tying eighth world title, Hamilton will now be hoping that his F1 car for the upcoming season will also bring about a lot more positives.
Mercedes ended a massive 451 points behind the Milton Keynes team, despite being Red Bull’s runners-up.
Hamilton, though, is confident that his team can catch up to Red Bull in 2024 after witnessing the club’s anticipated W15 car for the first time in the wind tunnel.
