Max Verstappen, who lost the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, reportedly promised that he would not allow Sergio Perez to defeat him again in 2023.
The two Red Bull drivers were tied for the lead after four races of the season, but Verstappen took control of the championship race in the following round in Miami and held onto it.
