Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez are both 2025 Red Bull F1 options.

Red Bull can be persuaded by Sergio Perez to extend his Formula One contract, and Horner acknowledges that all possibilities will be taken into account.

In the F1 driver market this year, Red Bull accounted for the majority of the activity; four drivers competed for Alpha Taura in 2023.

Even while it’s unlikely to happen again, the Austrian team’s driver choices will undoubtedly be discussed come race season.

Yuki Tusnad, Daniel Ricciardi, and Sergio Perez all have contracts that are about to expire. It appears that at least one of these drivers will be replaced, while the extremely talented Liam Lawson is still awaiting his F1 shot.

Any adjustments for Perez and Ricciardi will have a significant impact on their careers. Ultimately, the Australian driver did not come back to AlphaTauri to play in the midfield for more seasons. The purpose of his return was to provide Red Bull F1’s main squad with additional choices.

Even though Sergio Perez placed second in the Championship, his campaign has not been easy. His last 12 months have been mostly defined by poor qualifying results and challenges to maximize the RB19.

When the 2024 season starts, Christian Horner states unequivocally that Red Bull F1 will take into account every option:

“You want the right dynamic in the team and the most competitive pairing that you can field as a team,” he said to Sku F1.

“Max and Checo have had amazing success together.

“Checo is on a good trajectory; in his three years with us, he has placed fourth, third, and second.

“We know Daniel well; it’s wonderful to have him back at Red Bull, and of course, we’re open to anything starting in 2025.”
