An extension might improve the 27-year-old’s chances of remaining in west London once his current contract expires in 2025, although it’s uncertain if Toney would be amenable to doing so.
Both Chelsea and Arsenal are looking for a new striker, but it appears more likely that Toney will be added in the summer of 2019 than next month.
