The Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 S E Tested And Trusted.

One of the major releases from Mercedes-Benz this year is the highly anticipated CLE Coupe and Cabriolet, set to debut in July. This new lineup consolidates the C-Class and E-Class coupes and cabriolets into a singular vehicle, streamlining the offerings under the three-pointed star marque. Following the introduction of the standard Benz and the high-performance AMG CLE 53 models, attention is now shifting toward the more powerful iteration of the car. In line with this, the Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 S E Performance Coupe, the presumed enhanced version, has recently been spotted on the roads, providing a sneak peek into what lies ahead for the series.

Recently, walkoARvideos shared footage of a new Mercedes model in development. The car strongly indicates that it’s the CLE Coupe, evident from its distinctively sweeping design and greenhouse layout. Notably, the darkened roof suggests the presence of a panoramic setup.

Furthermore, the Panamericana grille styling, characterized by vertical slats flanking the center logo on the front grille, confirms that this is an AMG trim. A closer look at the rear of the car strengthens the suspicion that it surpasses the AMG CLE 53, evident from the vents behind the fenders, rear diffuser, and the distinct rhombus-shaped quadruple exhaust tips.

Unfortunately, the intricate zebra-patterned camouflage makes it challenging to identify the charging port of the hybrid vehicle. However, there seems to be a square outline on the wraps just under the right taillight, suggesting its probable location. This configuration is expected to be similar to that of the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance.

Regarding the powertrain, Mercedes has not yet disclosed details about the most powerful variant of the CLE. However, it is likely to adopt the Formula One-derived specifications of the AMG C 63 S E Performance or the AMG GLC 63 S E Performance Coupe. These vehicles feature a hybridized 2.0-liter twin-turbo four-cylinder engine, producing a total output of 680 hp and 1,020 Nm of torque.
