Kings Set to Release Juan Toscano-Anderson with Plans for Swift Re-Signing

Juan Toscano-Anderson #95 of the Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are on the verge of parting ways with reserve guard/forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, anticipating a rapid turnaround with plans to re-sign him promptly. James Ham of EPN 1320 reports that the Kings are preparing to bring back Toscano-Anderson on a 10-day contract.

At 30 years old, Toscano-Anderson recently joined the Kings in the previous month, mainly experiencing limited playing time, often restricted to garbage time situations. Despite his minimal contributions, tallying just two points and five rebounds in the current season, Toscano-Anderson, with past stints at the Warriors, Lakers, and Jazz, brings championship experience from 2022 with the Golden State Warriors. Over his career, he has maintained average statistics of 4.1 points and 3.0 rebounds.

The decision to waive Toscano-Anderson strategically aligns with the final day for teams to secure guaranteed contracts for the season. This move by the Kings aims to bolster roster flexibility, intending to promptly re-sign Toscano-Anderson under a new contract.
