“Midnight Mania: Ngannou’s Punching Power Record Broken? Joe Rogan’s Revelations on JRE MMA Show” “Insomnia: Mourning the Loss of ONE Championship Athlete Fariyar Aminipour”

Insomnia

Rest in peace to Fariyar Aminipour, the athlete from ONE Championship.

Tragic update. Fariyar Aminipour, the Muay Thai fighter from ONE Championship, has lost his life following a reported motorcycle accident in Phuket.

His gym, Tiger Muay Thai, has officially verified his untimely demise.

A promising talent, the 23-year-old Iranian had been gaining recognition on ONE Lumpinee. His most recent bout occurred just three weeks ago, resulting in a loss against Kulabdam.

Rest in peace.

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Francis Ngannou packs a punch akin to that of a Ford Escort.

The exact significance of this is unclear, but during the period when “The Predator” had a favorable relationship with the UFC, the organization frequently highlighted his formidable punching abilities. The UFC Performance Institute (PI) houses a specialized machine designed to measure the impact of strikes, and for years, Ngannou held the title of record-holder and unofficial power punching king since 2017.

However, this has changed.

In a recent installment of the JRE MMA Show, UFC color commentator Joe Rogan had a conversation with top-ranked Welterweight contender Sean Brady. While the submission specialist hasn’t established any known punching records, Rogan and Brady revealed that the record previously held by Francis Ngannou has been surpassed by emerging Middleweight talent Joe Pyfer.

Rogan expressed, “That guy hits so hard. We should let everyone know that he broke Francis Ngannou’s record on that punch machine.”

“They weren’t willing to acknowledge it [the record],” responded Brady.

Rogan continued, “They didn’t want to register it, and I don’t understand why. Why didn’t they want to give it to him?” “I don’t know,” Brady replied. “The guy was saying something was weird with the machine… He [Pyfer] did it like three times! Three times in a row.”

“So the guy didn’t want to believe it?” Rogan concluded with laughter.

Let’s recalibrate the machine and get “Bodybagz” back in front of it! While Pyfer may not boast Ngannou’s extensive resume, the 27-year-old talent has showcased his punching power in the cage, stopping eight of his 12 wins via knockout. His next bout is scheduled as the main event against Jack Hermansson in February at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As for Ngannou, he’s still testing the power of his punches in laced-up gloves. Anticipated to earn a $20 million paycheck in March when he faces Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia, perhaps that substantial payday will help soothe the sting of a lost (albeit unofficial) record?
