Red Bull warns Formula One competitors not to “copy” their vehicle in an attempt to overtake them.

Red Bull easily won the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships in the 2023 Formula 1 season, and they plan to repeat that feat in 2024.

The “why” is the most crucial factor. You can duplicate anything you want if you don’t know “why,” but it’s best to stick to what you understand.

Wache acknowledged that Red Bull has historically imitated teams because it is a common strategy in sports, but success is not always assured. “We also copy some stuff,” he remarked. Although we could replicate the wrong thing, you can also draw inspiration for yourself from what you observe in other people.

This business is similar to the Darwin effect. You take what you’ve learned from others, you include something new into it, and you continue to expand your concept, your capabilities, and your talents.

However, it must always focus on the understanding side of things. It doesn’t work if you merely copy for the sake of copying. Both what you want to do and the necessary expertise are prerequisites. It doesn’t bring anything if you don’t possess the same ideal qualities.

Even though the RB19 won 21 of the 22 races in the 2023 season, Wache hinted that the vehicle might be upgraded for the next campaign: “We put everything together.”

There are a few, but not many, issues with the vehicle. When comparing drag to downforce, [it is] highly efficient. That’s obviously important, and for the race pace, [it’s] rather easy on the tires.

That is, in my opinion, one of the crucial components, as qualification shows that we didn’t complete all of the poles. All except one race was won by us recently.

Wache continued menacingly, saying, “I would say that dominance is really dependant on the others as well.
