Details Behind the Death of Rabbitohs Player Who Lost His life…

Just four days following the loss of Queensland State of Origin star Carl Webb to motor neurone disease, the rugby league community is once again plunged into grief with the passing of former South Sydney NRL player Troy Dargan.

According to a statement released by Dargan’s management group, Aria, on Monday, the 26-year-old footballer lost his life in a motorcycle accident in the Cook Islands while on vacation with his family. The statement expressed the heavy heart of the Dargan family, acknowledging TJ’s tragic passing and highlighting his role as a beloved son to Troy and Wendy, a loving brother to Tamalee and Korokai, and a cherished friend to many.

The family requested privacy during this devastating time, emphasizing TJ’s significant presence as a Canberra Raider and his previous stints with the Manly Sea Eagles, Souths Rabbitohs, Brisbane Broncos, and Parramatta Eels.

Dargan, who played two NRL games at five-eighth for the Rabbitohs in 2020, spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the club. Although he was initially under contract with Manly for this year, the Cook Islands international had joined Canberra for the 2024 season. His untimely passing adds another layer of sorrow to the rugby league community.

Rip will miss you.
