Erik Karlsson, a top defenseman, did not show up for Friday’s practice at T-Mobile Arena. The Penguins were off on Thursday after their most recent session on Wednesday at the UPMC Lemieux Complex in Cranberry.
After practice, coach Mike Sullivan will speak with the media; PHN will update the story. Later on in the practice, PHN will additionally alter the line combinations.
In case you missed it, Sullivan was in Boston on Wednesday to celebrate the birth of his first grandson, so he skipped practice.
Despite being wounded late in the Monday game against the Seattle Kraken, defenseman Chad Ruhwedel seemed to have escaped harm. The extra defenseman is Shea. Colin White, a forward, seems to be the Penguins’ 12th forward in the lineup as well. The team now lacks more forwards due to Zohorna’s demotion.
In other unrelated but curious news, forward Jansen Harkins had his hair trimmed. The mullet has vanished.
On Saturday, the Penguins take on the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena.
