Transfer News

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hal, is considering the move to arsenal.

The Gunners under Mikel Arteta have not added any players to their roster as of yet this month.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City may be acquired by Arsenal in late January as Mikel Arteta seeks to expand his options in the midfield.

As of Thursday, February 1 at 11 p.m., the transfer window is still open, and the Gunners have not signed anyone.

That follows rumors that North Londoners are interested in players like Ivan Toney and, shockingly, Karim Benzema.

But, Arsenal might still have time to enter England’s second division in an effort to bolster their team ahead of yet another Premier League title campaign.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein claims that the Gunners are ‘admirers’ of Dewsbury-Hall, a 25-year-old who has distinguished himself during Leicester’s excellent start to the season.

After being demoted from the premier league the previous season, the Foxes are on track to return right away as they now sit atop the Championship table, ahead of Ipswich by seven points in second place, and eight points inside the slots that automatically qualify for promotion.

Ornstein claims that Brighton and Leicester are “in negotiations” about a trade for Dewsbury-Hall, an academy product of the Foxes who has made 111 appearances for his home club, including 59 in the Premier League. Leicester is reportedly requesting around £30 million for the player.

In addition to assisting Leicester in their 2021 Community Shield victory over Manchester City, Dewsbury-Hall was selected for the Europa Conference League club of the Season in 2021–2022, during which Brendan Rodgers’ club advanced to the semi-finals.

His current King Power Stadium contract expires at the conclusion of the 2026–2027 campaign.
