Oregon’s Rodrick Pleasant Shines in Collegiate Indoor Track Debut

Rodrick Pleasant, a cornerback from Oregon, made his collegiate indoor track debut.

During the men’s 60-meter preliminary at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Pleasant tied for 13th place with a time of 6.781 seconds.

The top eight qualifiers in the 60-meter event posted final times ranging from 6.646 to 6.693 seconds, with JC Stevenson of USC emerging as the winner with a time of 6.61 seconds.

Pleasant, who was ranked as the No. 2 track recruit by MileSplit last year, previously clinched victory in the nation’s 100-meter race with a wind-assisted time of 10.09 seconds in the spring, and later secured wins in both the 200- and 100-meter races in 2022, clocking in at 20.40 seconds.

In the previous season, he played seven games for the Ducks, tallying four tackles along with a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
