Breaking: Tyson Fury is threatened by USYK

Oleksandr Usyk has warned Tyson Fury that he has been preparing for the Gypsy King since he turned professional.

The Ukrainian admitted that Fury came on his radar when he beat Wladimir Klitschko. The Gypsy King became the Unified Heavyweight Champion by getting a win in the Ukrainian’s backyard. The victory ended Klitschko’s supreme dominance as the former champion never managed to secure the rematch and avenge that loss.

Usyk has been leaving his mark ever since, rising up the ranks to become a real threat. He rose to become the world’s undisputed cruiserweight champion. After accomplishing that, he went on to win the title of World Unified Heavyweight Champion. He defeated cruiserweight Tony Bellew en route to those accomplishments. In order to become the world’s Unified Heavyweight Champion, he also defeated Anthony Joshua twice. This ultimately resulted in the battle between Fury and Usyk on February 17, 2024. The Ukrainian is now prepared to give.

Usyk in a Rage

Since he defeated Wladimir a couple years ago, I have been training for this fight. I wasn’t well-known in the boxing world back then, so he wasn’t aware of me, but I had been getting ready for him and Anthony Joshua from the start. Ever since I began boxing professionally,” Usyk remarked

However, it seems from Fury’s remarks that he is unconcerned about the threat the Ukrainian will present. Fury’s previous encounter with Francis Ngannou did not present him in the greatest of light. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who knocked him out in the third round, disturbed him. Ngannou kept moving forward while Fury labored to outwit his opponent.

Although Fury prevailed, his conditioning was called into serious doubt by his performance. There were rumors that Fury might have ignored Ngannou after the victory. The Gypsy King refuted the charge, but he asserted that he can get ready for Usyk in just five weeks. It’s possible that Fury was manipulating such remarks. If not, he can be in for a difficult evening.

Anger Reacts

Uysk Warns Fury - 'I Have Been Preparing For Him From The Very Beginning'

“Please, like I trained 12 weeks for Wilder and everyone else, like I train four or five weeks for these fights! Four or five weeks, how much training does a man need? Three or four weeks of sparring and one week of resting, done. We’ve been boxing since we were little boys, how much training do we need? I’m sure we aren’t going to forget how to box and it’s not a fitness competition is it, so I don’t think you need more than five weeks,” Fury said.

There hasn’t been an Undisputed Champion in boxing since 1999, therefore both combatants have an obligation to create history. There will be a fight between the two greatest heavyweights of this period since Lennox Lewis, the last man to become undisputed at heavyweight, is expected to be present.
