Isaac Quaynor Commits to Collingwood with Five-Year Contract Extension

Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor has inked a five-year contract extension with the Magpies, ensuring his presence with the team until at least the conclusion of 2029.

Since entering the fold as a Next Generation Academy (NGA) prospect in the 2018 draft, Quaynor has amassed 85 appearances for Collingwood, including 26 during the team’s premiership-winning season last year. The 24-year-old secured sixth place in the E.W. Copeland Trophy and earned selection in the All-Australian team.

Expressing his gratitude, Quaynor remarked, “I’ll always appreciate Collingwood for providing my initial AFL opportunity in 2018, and I’m grateful to have secured my future here. The camaraderie within the team has been exceptional, and the recent seasons have been incredibly rewarding. I eagerly anticipate taking the field alongside this fantastic group of players each week, especially in front of our passionate Magpie Army. The future of Collingwood looks bright, and I’m excited for the next phase of my journey with this club.”

In what may be considered his most impressive season to date, Quaynor averaged 16.2 disposals, 5.5 marks, and 2.6 tackles last year.

Graham Wright, Collingwood’s general manager of football, expressed delight at Quaynor’s commitment, stating, “We’re thrilled that Isaac has chosen to extend his stay with Collingwood for another five years. Throughout his time at the club, Isaac has exhibited a strong dedication to his development, evident in his outstanding on-field performances, particularly during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. We view Isaac as a potential leader for our team due to his exceptional professionalism and maturity. We eagerly anticipate his continued growth and contributions to our football program and club in the years ahead.”
