Breaking News: Husky’s sign an offensive Lineman
Greetings, Husky lovers once more. Today, 2024 OL recruit Justin Hylkema from Adrian Wilcox HS, CA, gave the Husky coaches even more good news when he declared his commitment to UW.
Hylkema, a big offensive lineman listed at 6’8″ and over 315 pounds, just switched from Arizona to Washington to accompany the new coaching staff. At first, he chose Arizona over Washington State and Cal offers.
The Huskies desperately need to rebuild the depth chart along the offensive line after losing four interior offensive linemen and both starting offensive tackles to the draft this summer. Washington is still holding out hope that Paki Finau, a fellow 2024 OL, may choose to leave the transfer portal and come back to Washington.
Hylkema, ranked as the 98th best offensive lineman in the 2024 class, is expected to vie for playing time in 2025 after taking a redshirt this fall. Brennan Carrol, the offensive line coach, has long regarded Hylkema as a possible hidden talent and has grown to love him.
These are the guy they call Moose’s highlights from his senior year.
