Ferrari officially announces their upcoming Formula 1 car.
Ferrari has officially declared that their upcoming Formula 1 car will bear the name SF-24. In line with a longstanding tradition initiated during the turbo-hybrid era, the SF denotes Scuderia Ferrari, followed by the current year’s numerical designation. This nomenclature was initially introduced with the SF15-T in the 2015 season, marking F1’s second turbo-hybrid era. The only deviation from this pattern occurred in 2022 when the F1-75 name was used to commemorate Ferrari’s 75th anniversary.

Ferrari is set to unveil the SF-24 to the public on February 13, sandwiched between Aston Martin and followed by Mercedes, McLaren, and reigning world champions Red Bull in a busy car launch schedule.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will maintain their partnership as teammates for a fourth consecutive season. Notably, Leclerc has recently inked a contract extension, ensuring his presence with the team beyond the year 2024.
Following a third-place finish in the 2023 constructors’ standings, Ferrari is poised to build on their performance and strive for a more consistent presence at the forefront in the upcoming season. The team from Maranello is determined to pursue their first world title since the 2008 campaign.
