Oregon’s Strong Start in 2025 Recruiting: Prospects for Landing Wide Receiver Cooper Perry

The Ducks are in an excellent position to secure one of the premier playmakers in the 2025 class.

Oregon has kicked off the 2025 recruiting cycle impressively, securing four verbal commitments. Among them are two wide receivers, Dallas Wilson and Adrian Wilson, suggesting a potential expansion in their receiving corps soon.

Today, I foresee Oregon securing the commitment of Cooper Perry, a wide receiver from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep, for the 2025 season, with a confidence rating of 7/10.

Here’s why:

Oregon has been actively pursuing Perry for a considerable duration, showing early interest compared to other schools. Despite Arizona State extending the first official offer, the Ducks recognized and prioritized Perry early on.

Perry has visited Oregon twice already and is expected to attend the spring game on April 27. Oregon’s coaching staff has demonstrated exceptional recruitment efforts in Arizona, consistently attracting top talent from the state in recent years, such as Kyler Kasper, Cole Martin, A’Mauri Washington, and Elijah Rushing.

Furthermore, Perry shares a close bond with Oregon’s new quarterback, Luke Moga from Phoenix (Ariz.) Sunnyslope, enhancing Oregon’s appeal. Their established friendship, coupled with their roles as quarterback and wide receiver, adds to the allure of playing together.

Considering the relationships forged with Perry, it’s unlikely that any other school can surpass Oregon’s appeal. Additionally, Oregon remains actively engaged with Dakorien Moore, a wide receiver committed to LSU, indicating their commitment to strengthening their receiving corps.

Junior Adams, Oregon’s wide receivers coach, deserves recognition for his exceptional recruitment and development efforts, potentially warranting a raise for his contributions to the team’s success in Eugene.
