Industry criticism follows F1’s rejection of Andretti Cadillac.

In a rejection notification, Formula One stated that Andretti Cadillac “wouldn’t be a competitive participant.”

Together with Cadillac, Andretti applied to compete in the Formula 1 World Championship. F1 is a global open-wheel racing championship. Regretfully, they are the most popular motorsport worldwide.

Andretti fields teams in the Supercars Championship, Formula E, IMSA, Indycar, and Indy NXT. However, they are not allowed to race in the American-owned F1.

Andretti’s bid to be a grid member has been denied by F1. “We do not think the applicant would participate in a competitive setting.”

There won’t be another American team in the sport than Haas F1. According to F1, Andretti is welcome to resubmit in 2028.

The following statement was released by the organization:

The team declared, “Andretti Cadillac has reviewed the information shared by Formula One Management Limited and strongly disagrees with its contents.”

“Andretti and Cadillac are two thriving international racing companies dedicated to fielding a real American works team in Formula One among the greatest teams in the world. With an experienced team behind us, we are pleased of the great strides we have already achieved in creating a highly competitive vehicle and power unit, and we will keep up the good work.

“Andretti Cadillac would also like to acknowledge and thank the fans who have expressed their support,” the statement said in closing.

Mario Andretti responds, “I’m devastated,” to the industry. I am at a loss for words, so I won’t say anything more than “devastating.”

“One of the top 5 dumbest statements I’ve ever read,” said Conor Daly.

“F1 is an elitist sport,” said Graham Rahal. They are not interested in us. Recall that. They want the money of affluent Americans and US corporations. They are indifferent to the rest, though. That manner has always been and always will be.

Oh wait, Rahal said. I also mentioned something else and received a lot of backlash. Have any of you guys seen it yet? Does it now make sense? There ought should be Andretti Global there.

“A racing series wants to expand into America,” said Scott McLaughlin. but won’t permit any more American teams to participate in it. It makes sense.

It’s okay. Pick ten teams from you. In a few weeks, there will be 27 vehicles, and we won’t know until Sunday morning who will win the race. Best wishes to everybody. LFG Indianapolis Motor Speedway
