Breaking News: The Sydney Star states that he is not interested in Bulldogs outrageous offer and states that…
The Bulldogs appear poised to miss out on another prop forward, reportedly preparing to withdraw from the pursuit of Roosters powerhouse Terrell May.
May, whose contract with the Roosters expires at the end of the season, has been open to discussions with other clubs since November 1.
The Bulldogs had shown keen interest in the 24-year-old, offering a substantial $1.6 million deal—a significant increase from his current contract. May has publicly expressed his desire to play alongside his brothers Taylan and Tyrone in the near future. Although the club had indicated they would consider signing all three brothers, those aspirations seem to have been dashed.
Reportedly, the Bulldogs are concerned about the lack of progress in contract negotiations with May, along with his decision to part ways with his long-term agent, suggesting a likelihood of him remaining with the Roosters.
May had previously stated on the Bloke in a Bar podcast that he was informing interested clubs of his desire to play with his brothers, emphasizing his preference for a joint move.
The Bulldogs, in need of reinforcement in their front row, would have greatly benefited from May’s addition next season. However, it appears they are now shifting their focus to alternative targets.
Previously, the Bulldogs had a deal in place with Super League star Sio Taukeiaho, but this arrangement fell through when Taukeiaho failed a medical examination.
