Recent reports suggest that Michigan’s defensive line coach, Mike Elston, is likely to join Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff with the Chargers in Los Angeles.
Although no official confirmation has been made yet, indications from sources within the league point towards Elston’s impending move, further solidifying Harbaugh’s team at the expense of Sherrone Moore and the University of Michigan.
Elston previously served at Notre Dame for over a decade, attaining the position of associate head coach under Brian Kelly. Following his bypassing for the head coaching role by Marcus Freeman, Elston reassessed his options and returned to his roots in Ann Arbor. Now, he appears poised to remain aligned with Harbaugh and continue coaching alongside his fellow Wolverines in Los Angeles.
