Rafael Harvey-Pinard of the Montreal Canadiens is out for four to six Months due to
The Montreal Canadiens have confirmed that forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks due to a lower-body injury.
Additionally, defenseman Jordan Harris is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury, while defenseman Kaiden Guhle’s condition is still under evaluation.
Harvey-Pinard sustained his injury during the Canadiens’ game against the Dallas Stars on Saturday. The incident occurred during a routine play on the ice when Harvey-Pinard collided with teammate Joel Armia, resulting in an awkward fall. Subsequently, Harvey-Pinard exited the game early and did not return. This marks the third occasion this season that Harvey-Pinard has faced injury setbacks.
In the 24 games he has played this season, Harvey-Pinard has recorded one goal and seven points, along with six penalty minutes and a neutral +0 rating. This performance marks a decline from last year, during which he tallied 14 goals and 20 points in 34 games as a rookie. His recent injury history likely contributes to this downturn in performance, and the team is hopeful for his complete recovery from the current injury.
There is speculation that this injury may be concussion-related, which carries inherent unpredictability. Given the Montreal Canadiens’ position far from playoff contention, they should exercise caution and refrain from rushing Harvey-Pinard back into the lineup.
Harris has been sidelined since January 27th but is approaching a return to the lineup. He has established himself as a promising defensive asset for the Canadiens in the future.
Guhle completed the Saturday game against the Stars but sustained an injury at some point during the match. He is currently undergoing evaluation for the nature and severity of the injury.
