Max Verstappen, the three-time Formula 1 champion, will be back on the track on Tuesday, conducting test runs with the new Red Bull car at Silverstone.

Max Verstappen is set to conduct a shakedown of Red Bull’s new Formula 1 title contender at Silverstone on Tuesday, according to information obtained by RacingNews365.

Verstappen will take to the track at the venue of the British Grand Prix in the RB20, marking the beginning of what promises to be a challenging season with a record-breaking 24-race calendar, as he aims to secure a potential fourth drivers’ title.

This season sees a change in the shakedown regulations, allowing teams to cover a total distance of 200 kilometers, which is double the previous limit. At Silverstone, this means Red Bull’s new car will complete approximately 33 laps on demonstration tires provided by Pirelli.

Verstappen is expected to be joined by his teammate Sergio Perez, as both drivers prepare to log their first laps in Red Bull’s latest Formula 1 car, the successor to last year’s RB19, which enjoyed remarkable success, winning 21 out of 22 grands prix, with Verstappen claiming victory 19 times.

With a dry morning forecast, Red Bull anticipates a smooth start to testing at Silverstone, providing an opportunity for the team to gather valuable data on the new car ahead of its official unveiling on Thursday at the team’s headquarters in Milton Keynes. RacingNews365 will be present at the unveiling event.

The shakedown session precedes the car’s public unveiling, allowing Verstappen and Perez to provide early feedback on the RB20. Subsequently, the car will undergo further testing during the pre-season testing sessions scheduled at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 21 to 23.

The season opener will also be held at the Bahrain International Circuit on March 2, marking the beginning of the highly anticipated 2024 Formula 1 season.
