The Wests Tigers have bolstered their junior roster by signing Jared Haywood, the current hooker for the Balmain Tigers SG Ball Cup team, to a one-year contract.
Originally from St Marys, Haywood started his junior career with the Penrith Panthers Under-15s development squad before joining the Balmain Tigers, one of the Wests Tigers’ pathways teams.
Haywood played for the Balmain Tigers Harold Matthews Cup team in 2023 before moving up to the SG Ball Cup squad this season.
His new contract with the Wests Tigers, confirmed by Aria Management Group, will see him continue his development at the club alongside experienced players like Apisai Koroisau, Jake Simpkin, and Tallyn Da Silva until the end of the 2024 season.
