The Arizona Diamondbacks have reportedly signed outfielder to a Four year deal.

The Arizona Diamondbacks made another addition to their outfield depth by signing outfielder Randal Grichuk to a one-year contract worth $2 million, with a mutual option for 2025. Grichuk, a veteran outfielder, is coming off a solid 2023 season where he hit .267 with 44 RBIs and 31 doubles in 118 games for the Angels and Rockies.

Despite a decline in RBI totals, Grichuk showed he can still be a dangerous bat with 49 extra-base hits last season. His ability to hit left-handed pitching (.328 average) could make him a valuable asset in a platoon role.

Returning to the NL West, where he has thrived in the past, Grichuk adds depth to the Diamondbacks’ outfield, complementing young stars like Corbin Carroll and Alex Thomas. The Diamondbacks have been active in the offseason, adding Grichuk, Joc Pederson, Eugenio Suarez, and Eduardo Rodriguez to improve their roster and increase their payroll to $143 million.

Grichuk brings postseason experience and power to the lineup, although he won’t be relied upon as heavily offensively as he was in St. Louis. The Diamondbacks, who reached the NL Pennant last year, are aiming to end their championship drought and compete in a tough division that includes the Los Angeles Dodgers.
