Reasons why the Canadiens Skills Competition can’t
The Canadiens Skills Competition presented by RONA returns to the Bell Centre on Feb. 25, offering fans a chance to witness their favorite players showcase their hockey talents through a series of on-ice trials.
Here are five reasons why attending the event promises to be a Sunday Funday:
1. Affordable tickets: Starting at $12, it’s a budget-friendly option compared to Sunday brunch, with the added excitement of spotting Habs players. Join 20,000 fellow hockey enthusiasts and reserve your spot here. Plus, proceeds support the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the NHLPA Goals & Dreams fund, and the ALS Super Fund.
2. Up-close experience: The glass around the rink will be removed, allowing fans unprecedented access to players. Enjoy selfies, photo ops, and fist bumps with your favorite stars, minus the risk of being hit by stray pucks during the hardest shot competition.
3. Competitive spirit: Watch the Habs go head-to-head in various skill challenges and compare their performances to NHL benchmarks. Get insights into how the team stacks up against the rest of the league based on this year’s best times and scores.
4. Women’s hockey showcase: Witness top talent from PWHL Montreal compete alongside NHL players in select contests, offering a unique interleague play experience.
5. Exciting surprises: Stay tuned for additional programming announcements, including a fan-suggested skill for the Canadiens to tackle. Discover what new events will be introduced for fans to enjoy alongside the pros.
The 2024 Canadiens Skills Competition presented by RONA is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 25, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
