TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – WBRC has verified that Eli Gold, the renowned Alabama football broadcaster, will not be resuming his role in the Crimson Tide’s broadcast booth for the 2024 season.
In a statement to WBRC, Gold revealed that the University of Alabama decided not to have him return.
Gold assumed the title of the “Voice of the Crimson Tide” in 1988 when he was appointed as the broadcaster for both the football and basketball programs.
