Sydney Roosters star confesses why he left.

Hull KR has signed Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, a prop from the Sydney Roosters and New Zealand, on a one-year deal for the 2025 Betfred Super League season. The move was facilitated by Shaun Kenny-Dowall, a former Hull KR captain who is now on the coaching staff.

Waerea-Hargreaves and Kenny-Dowall were teammates at the Roosters and the Kiwis, and their friendship played a significant role in Waerea-Hargreaves’ decision to join Hull KR. Waerea-Hargreaves expressed excitement about the opportunity, highlighting the positive things Kenny-Dowall had said about the club and its people. He also praised the team’s recent performances and expressed eagerness to join them for the upcoming season, noting that he and his family are looking forward to living in the North of England.
