Russell is uninformed about the cooling issues faced by Mercedes.

George Russell has emphasized that he is “not at all” concerned about a reoccurrence of Mercedes’ cooling issues, which disrupted his podium contention during the Bahrain Grand Prix opening race of the season. Despite being unsure about the exact cause of the impact, Russell remained confident.

During the previous weekend, the British driver had climbed as high as second place before dropping to fifth, trailing both Red Bulls and Ferraris, as he grappled with managing increasing temperatures in his W15.

For the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Russell secured only the seventh position on the grid, one place ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton. When questioned about his apprehensions regarding the cooling issues, Russell responded to media outlets, including RacingNews365, stating, “No, not at all.”

“We identified the issue, and it was a straightforward fix, but we are still investigating why the problem had such a significant impact in Bahrain. We know the root cause; however, we’re still unsure why it had such a pronounced effect.”
