Red Bull group CEO Oliver Mintzlaff affirms that Max Verstappen…

According to Red Bull’s group CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, Max Verstappen is set to remain with the team, despite recent turmoil. Verstappen had previously raised concerns about his future, indicating that he would leave the team if motorsport adviser Helmut Marko was compelled to depart.

Reports suggest that Marko, a significant influence in Verstappen’s career, is under investigation by Red Bull following allegations of “inappropriate behavior” against Christian Horner.

Helmut Marko, a longstanding influence on Max Verstappen, is currently under scrutiny. Verstappen’s contract with Red Bull extends until 2028, and when questioned about his continuity with the team ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Red Bull’s group CEO Oliver Mintzlaff affirmed that Verstappen is bound by his contract.

Mintzlaff emphasized Verstappen’s talent and expressed hopes for success in the upcoming race, distancing himself from any controversies.

The recent inquiry by Red Bull, resulting in the suspension of a female accuser of Christian Horner, the team principal, did not implicate Horner.

Marko, employed by Red Bull GmbH, acknowledged the possibility of suspension but asserted his autonomy in decision-making. However, he expressed confidence in continuing his role beyond the current race, citing positive discussions with Mintzlaff.

Verstappen, following his pole position achievement, conveyed respect for Marko and their shared accomplishments.
