With quarterback uncertainty looming, the Patriots are considering trade offers involving top QB.

The Patriots are considering trading Mac Jones, their 2021 first-round pick who was expected to lead the team post-Tom Brady but hasn’t met initial success.

Despite making the Pro Bowl in 2021 and being a top candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year, Jones could be on the move as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. Teams have shown interest, and New England seems open to trade discussions.

Jones struggled during the Patriots’ tough 2023 season, being benched four times and posting a 2-9 record as a starter with 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

With the third overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Patriots also have quarterback Bailey Zappe, a 2022 fourth-round pick, who started six games in 2023.
