Christian Horner asserts his dominance within Red Bull over…

Christian Horner has unequivocally reaffirmed his position as the head of Red Bull Racing amidst ongoing conjecture regarding his future in Formula 1.

At 50 years old, Horner faced allegations of “inappropriate behavior” from a colleague, leading to an investigation by the parent company. Although he was subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing, the incident continues to be a prominent topic of discussion, particularly amidst suggestions of potential power struggles behind the scenes.

Helmut Marko and Max Verstappen have spoken publicly about the investigation into Red Bull Racing chief Christian Horner

Max Verstappen’s father, Jos, has publicly hinted multiple times that Horner should step down. Additionally, Helmut Marko, an advisor to the team, underwent his own investigation.

Despite the ongoing saga, Red Bull’s defense of their title hasn’t been thrown off course. Verstappen has delivered impressive performances on the track, securing consecutive victories to kick off the 2024 season. Meanwhile, his teammate Sergio Perez has finished second in both races, solidifying the team’s strong position in the standings.

Eager to prevent the drama from further overshadowing their achievements, Horner aims to put an end to it. He expressed to reporters, “I think that there’s probably been too much said already by other parties. The team is united, with Max as an integral part, Helmut playing his role, and myself leading the team, each with a crucial contribution.”

However, while this unity holds true, Horner must delicately manage those under his leadership in the upcoming months, particularly Verstappen. Amid speculation surrounding Marko’s potential departure, Verstappen has hinted at his own departure should the 80-year-old leave.

Consequently, Verstappen has been rumored to consider a move to rival Mercedes to fill the vacancy left by Lewis Hamilton at the end of the year. Such a scenario is one that Horner fervently hopes to avoid.
