As other leagues around the world finish their seasons, there’s hope that some of Montreal’s top prospects can finally show what they can do with the team. It might only be for a few games, but it’s a chance for everyone to watch these players in NHL action.
One of the Canadiens’ top picks from the 2023 Draft, defenseman David Reinbacher, could soon join the team. Despite his team in Switzerland, Kloten, having a tough season, Reinbacher’s skills have shone through. There’s a chance he could come to Montreal or the Laval Rocket after his team’s playoffs in March.
Another promising player for the Canadiens is Lane Hutson. Despite concerns about his size, Hutson has proven himself as an offensive force in college hockey. He’s set to finish his season with Boston University soon, and there’s a chance he could join the Canadiens after that.
While it’s unlikely that Reinbacher or Hutson will play in March, they might get a chance to join Montreal or Laval in April. Whether they play a few games or spend more time developing, both players have the potential to become key players for the Canadiens in the future.
