Thatcher Demko absent from Vancouver Canucks practice

Thatcher Demko's Absence Raises Concerns After Sudden Departure from Vancouver Canucks' Game

Vancouver Canucks’ star goalie, Thatcher Demko, was not present during the team’s practice on Tuesday, following his sudden exit from a recent game.

During a TV timeout in the second period of Vancouver’s 5-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, Demko left the game abruptly. Backup goalie Casey DeSmith took over for the rest of the match, and head coach Rick Tocchet chose not to speculate on the reason for Demko’s departure.

Thatcher Demko #35 of the Vancouver Canucks

Demko, aged 28, has an impressive .917 save percentage, five shutouts, and a 2.47 goals-against average this season. His stellar performance has played a significant role in propelling Vancouver to the top of the Western Conference standings.

Despite his recent departure from the game, Demko achieved his 34th win of the season, leading the league, and was recognized as one of the NHL’s three stars of the week on Monday.
