Peyton Manning discusses his pursuit of Bill Belichick with…
Bill Belichick’s potential move to a broadcasting role is uncertain, but Peyton Manning believes the former New England Patriots head coach would thrive in such a transition. Despite not securing a coaching job this year, Belichick is scheduled to speak at several universities.
Known for his reserved nature with the media, Belichick is recognized by former players and colleagues as being much more humorous than he lets on. His recent appearance on “College GameDay” for the Army-Navy game at Gillette Stadium revealed a side of him rarely seen publicly, showcasing his extensive football knowledge.
Manning likely sees this side of Belichick as valuable and tried to recruit him to his production company, Omaha Productions, to potentially display more of it.
“If it happens, I think fans will be thrilled to witness Bill Belichick’s incredible football acumen and his wit and humor,” Manning told The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand.
The San Francisco 49ers reportedly reached out to Belichick about their vacant defensive coordinator position, but his plans for this year remain unknown. However, if he does venture into broadcasting, he would join a growing list of former Patriots, including Tom Brady, who are making their mark in the media.
