Queensland is likely to snatch the 19-year-old hooker star from the Brisbane Broncos.

The Brisbane Broncos are reportedly facing competition from a rival Queensland club to keep young hooker Blake Mozer.

Considered a key player for the club’s future, Mozer’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2025 season, allowing him to negotiate with other clubs, including the Cowboys, Dolphins, and Gold Coast Titans, starting November 1 this year.

Expected to be highly sought-after on the open market, Mozer could potentially join the Gold Coast Titans despite the Broncos’ efforts to retain him.

This is partly due to his close relationship with former Broncos forward and new Gold Coast Titans recruit Keenan Palasia, who described Mozer as someone he is mentoring.

“At the moment, we’ve got quite a few talented hookers at the Titans, and he’s still a young guy. In the future, we’ll see how he progresses, and I’ll offer him some guidance,” said Palasia.

Mozer represented Queensland in the Under-19s in 2023 and has been part of the Broncos’ system since he was 13. Despite being a lifelong fan of the Broncos, Mozer understands that he needs to be patient for his chances at the club.

In the meantime, Mozer has been playing for the Souths Logan Magpies in the QLD Cup and Mal Meninga Cup.
