Breaking News: New york Jet Signed age 29 years WR to One-Year Considered the most expensive in the Free Agency
The New York Jets are bolstering their receiving corps for the 2024 season by adding another key target for Aaron Rodgers. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jets have reached an agreement with veteran wide receiver Mike Williams on a one-year contract worth up to $15 million.
Williams, who is 29 years old, visited the Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Carolina Panthers before deciding on New York. He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he amassed 309 catches for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns. However, a 2023 ACL injury limited him to just three games, but he still managed 19 catches, 249 yards, and a touchdown. In 2022, he had 63 receptions for 895 yards and four touchdowns.
Williams will join star wide receiver Garrett Wilson in the Jets’ receiving corps, forming a formidable one-two punch for New York.
