Blake Corum struggles at Michigan football’s Pro Day as he prepares for the NFL Draft.
The Michigan football Pro Day in Ann Arbor marked another significant moment for the 2023 Wolverines, who continue to make waves even after winning the national championship. A record 18 players received invitations to the NFL Scouting Combine, and more than 150 NFL evaluators attended their Pro Day. The team is now aiming to break the record for the most players selected from one school in a single draft, with running back Blake Corum expected to be among those chosen in the 2024 NFL Draft.
During the Pro Day, all eyes were on Blake Corum, who delivered an impressive performance. According to one NFL executive present at the event, “Corum’s feet are really good. He’s tough and physical. He plays bigger than he is and he can really catch the football,” as reported by Bleacher Report NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
While he didn’t redo the 40-yard dash to improve on his previous 4.53-second time, Corum did repeat the short shuttle drill and improved from 4.12 seconds to 4.07 seconds. Standing at 5-foot-8, 204 pounds, his athleticism might not be immediately striking, but his skills truly shine when he’s in pads.
Last season, Corum played a pivotal role in Michigan’s journey to the college football national championship. As an All-American, he amassed impressive stats, including 258 carries for 1,245 yards, 16 catches for 117 yards, and 28 total touchdowns. Throughout his time at Michigan, Corum accumulated 3,737 rushing yards, 422 receiving yards, and scored 61 touchdowns.
