Breaking News: Roosters have extended the contract of a 27-year-old star prop player.

Reportedly, the Sydney Roosters are preparing to present Lindsay Collins with a contract extension, aiming to secure his services for the foreseeable future. Currently contracted until the conclusion of 2026, discussions are underway to extend his tenure with the club until the conclusion of the 2028 season, as per News Corp.

The decision to offer a long-term deal reflects Collins’ stellar performances both at club level and for representative sides such as the Australian Kangaroos and the Queensland Maroons.

Regarded as a key figure in the Roosters’ forward line, he is expected to assume a more prominent role following Jared Waerea-Hargreaves’ impending departure for the Super League.

Expressing his attachment to the team and gratitude for the club’s support, Collins previously affirmed his commitment after signing his existing four-year contract in 2021.

Additionally, the Roosters are keen to retain another forward, Terrell May, amidst speculation surrounding his future, particularly after his brother Taylan May opted to extend his stay with the Penrith Panthers.
