Fresh Injury hits as Reds baseman seriously needs surgery.

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Matt McLain is undergoing evaluation for a shoulder injury that may necessitate surgery, according to manager David Bell.

Bell stated on Wednesday that all possibilities are being considered following an MRI on McLain’s left shoulder. Surgery is one of the options being weighed for the second-year infielder, who is expected to start the season on the injured list.
