Making his comeback from an ACL injury, Doedee will don Lions colors for the first time. He joins new draftees Logan Morris, Luke Lloyd, and Reece Torrent, who have impressed during the preseason.
Key defender Jack Payne and versatile utility Kai Lohmann are also part of the squad traveling to Melbourne.
Jake Lohmann and Ewan Macpherson, fellow new VFL recruits, will make their club debuts at the VFL level. Additionally, Will Martyn will play his first game for the Lions since the 2019 NEAFL Grand Final.
