Breaking News: LSU head coach has stirred up controversy…

LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey sparked controversy on Saturday by engaging in a public feud with the Washington Post.

However, ahead of Sunday’s NCAA Tournament game against Middle Tennessee, the championship coach shared a heartwarming moment.

Mulkey approached the MTSU bench and embraced Blue Raiders assistant Nina Davis before the game in Baton Rouge. The gesture was met with applause from the fans behind the Middle Tennessee bench.

Nina Davis, who played for four seasons under Mulkey at Baylor from 2013 to 2017, contributed significantly to the Bears’ success during that period, helping them achieve a remarkable 134-15 record.

She was twice honored as the Big 12 Championship MVP and earned two selections to the Associated Press All-American team.

Currently, Davis serves as an assistant on the Middle Tennessee coaching staff, now in her fourth year in that role.
