Nashville SC has revealed the roster for its 2024 Special Olympics Unified Team.

Nashville Soccer Club, in collaboration with Special Olympics Tennessee, held a special signing ceremony at GEODIS Park on March 26, 2024, to introduce the athletes of its 2024 Special Olympics Unified Team.

General Manager Mike Jacobs and players Dan Lovitz, Jacob Shaffelburg, Taylor Washington, and Joe Willis were present to sign the team contracts and participate in the team’s first practice on the GEODIS Park pitch.

This marks the third consecutive season that Nashville SC has partnered with Special Olympics Tennessee for this initiative. In 2022, the club formed its first Unified Team and made a $10,000 donation to Special Olympics Tennessee. In 2023, Unified Team member Carl Ramey was selected for the All-Star Team and was named co-MVP of the Special Olympics Unified Team All-Star match in Washington, DC.

The 2024 Nashville SC Unified Team is scheduled to play three matches this year:

– May 11: Away match against Charlotte FC’s Unified Team
– May 18: Home match against Atlanta United FC’s Unified Team at GEODIS Park following Nashville SC’s MLS match against Atlanta United FC
– September 14: Away match against Atlanta United FC’s Unified Team
