Pete Roses’ Savage reaction to Shohei Ohtani-Ippei Mizuhara Saga

Pete Rose, the retired baseball legend, has recently joined in on the conversation surrounding Major League Baseball’s current scandal. In a viral video shared by former MLB third baseman Josh Booty on Instagram, Rose was seen engaging in a lighthearted discussion about the saga involving Shohei Ohtani and his former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara.

In the video, a man named Matt Thrash is seen interacting with Rose, asking for his thoughts on the situation. Rose humorously remarked, “Well back in the ’70s and ’80s, I wish I’d have had an interpreter. I’d be scot-free.”

Rose, a 17-time All-Star and MLB’s all-time hits leader, remains banned from baseball due to his involvement in gambling. Despite ongoing efforts by prominent supporters to have him reinstated, Rose’s ban from the Baseball Hall of Fame still stands.

The situation with Ohtani, however, presents a different scenario. Ohtani, in his first public press conference since the scandal emerged, denied any involvement in betting on baseball. Instead, he claimed to be a victim of theft by Mizuhara, who allegedly used funds to support his own gambling addiction. Despite Ohtani’s denial, the humor surrounding the situation, including jokes involving Rose, continues to circulate.
