The Brisbane Broncos have received a significant boost as star fullback Reece Walsh aims for an early return from injury, having avoided surgery on a facial fracture sustained during a clash with the Penrith Panthers last weekend.

Walsh has been cleared of the need for surgery and is targeting a comeback in Round 6 against The Dolphins, as reported by The Courier Mail.
It is anticipated that he may return in Round 7 against the Canberra Raiders, three weeks after the injury occurred. Queensland coach Billy Slater, commenting on the injury, predicts Walsh will likely be sidelined for about a month to allow for recovery of the facial fracture.
Despite the setback, Slater praises Walsh’s commitment to the game and his diligent approach to training and development during this period of rehabilitation.
