Kenyatta Jackson and Caden Curry had big hopes for their football careers when they joined Ohio State in their third year. Their coach, Larry Johnson, talked to them about their future plans. He explained that they might need to be patient because other players were staying longer than expected.
When they first came to Ohio State, people thought that Jack Sawyer or J.T. Tuimoloau would leave for the NFL after three years. But both of them decided to stay, so Kenyatta and Caden might not get as much playing time.
Despite this, Kenyatta and Caden didn’t think about leaving because of Coach Johnson’s support. They believe they have a great team and can make each other better.
Kenyatta came from Florida, and Caden came from Indiana. Coach Johnson is known for being a good recruiter. He convinced them to join Ohio State, and he helped them decide to stay.
Coach Johnson explained that the decision to stay was up to the players. They wanted to win games and make a name for themselves. He also reminded them that they could have left and taken their talent elsewhere.
Even though Kenyatta and Caden didn’t play as much as other players last season, they still have the potential to be great. Coach Johnson wants to give them more playing time this season, but they need to keep developing their skills.
