Michigan football had another packed recruiting weekend.
Sherrone Moore and the Michigan football team have been assertive in their recruiting efforts, aligning with the intentions set by the new Wolverines head coach.
Michigan recently hosted numerous highly regarded prospects, including Jadon Blair and Andrew Babalola, both of whom are top-100 prospects.
Initial feedback from these visits has been positive, particularly with the notable contributions of new running backs coach Tony Alford, who has attracted three top-200 running backs, two of whom hail from Ohio.
This weekend, the focus shifts to bolstering the offensive line, with six visitors on campus, five of whom are offensive linemen. Among them is Douglas Utu, a standout interior offensive lineman ranked 57th overall, who stands at an impressive 6-foot-5, 300 pounds.
Utu, previously associated with Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, shares ties with Micah Kaapana, a former teammate and underrated three-star running back in the 2024 class.
Jack Lange, a 6-foot-8 offensive lineman from Eureka, Missouri, is also on the visit list. While Lange has official visits lined up with Nebraska and Missouri, Michigan football is making a strong bid, reminiscent of their successful recruitment of Andrew Sprague in the 2024 class.
Additionally, Kaden Strayhorn, Hardy Watts, Michael Carroll, and three-star defensive back Josh Johnson are among those visiting the Wolverines this weekend.
While immediate commitments might not be imminent, Michigan could soon witness a shift in momentum, potentially marking the beginning of the Sherrone Moore era with its first commitment.
