Breaking News: Chargers secure a 24-year-old standout from Michigan…
Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh will reunite with one of his former Michigan players during his inaugural year back in the NFL.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Chargers signed fullback Ben Mason on Tuesday.
During his four-year tenure as a Wolverine, Mason demonstrated versatility by playing tight end, defensive lineman, and fullback. He amassed 37 carries for 87 yards and nine touchdowns, while also recording a receiving touchdown and making 14 tackles.
Selected by the Ravens in the third round of the 2021 draft, Mason did not secure a roster spot. He had brief stints with the Patriots and Bears before returning to Baltimore, where he appeared in one game last season.
